Stage 2: Detailed Design

Galvanized Steel Specification in Detailed Design

Steel Specification

As you progress to the detailed design stage, galvanized steel specification ensures exceptional value with its durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainable credentials. It is a material that not only meets the demands of high-performance projects but also aligns with circular design principles, ensuring minimal waste and maximum reuse potential. Whether you are specifying materials for structural integrity or external finishes, galvanised steel provides long-term reliability while helping your project achieve compliance.

Galvanizing Quick Turnaround

By arrangement, it may  be possible to process your steel within 24 hours.

Galvanizing won’t keep you or your project waiting. A few easy steps go a long way.

The actual process of dipping steel in molten zinc takes just a matter of minutes. What takes slightly longer is the preparation beforehand.

The steel must be hung on jigs, cleaned, rinsed and fluxed before it can be galvanized. Afterwards, it must cool (the galvanizing bath is at about 450°C) and be taken off the jigs. The time to do all of this is only a few hours. In practice of course, there is other work being processed too, so the typical turnaround time is about three days.
